Marvel Masterworks The Mighty Thor Vol. 25

Description

Restored from Walter Simonson and Sal Buscema’s original art, these Marvel classics look better than ever. Writer/artist Walter Simonson continues spinning all-time classic Thor tales! The God of Thunder leads an army into Hel itself to rescue innocent souls trapped by Malekith. Unsurprisingly, the ruler of this realm of bones doesn’t take lightly to invaders. In the ensuing battle, Hela’s withering touch scars Thor forever, and the Executioner makes an iconic stand. This was a worthy quest, but Asgard stands in ruins without a leader. Loki hatches one of his greatest schemes yet to keep Thor from gaining the throne — he turns him into a frog! But a Frog of Thunder is still worthy, and this fan-favorite story is an absolute joy in Simonson’s expert hands. Meanwhile, Balder must decide whether his loyalties reside with his heart or his people. With a mythic sweep, driving subplots and fantastic characterization, Simonson’s Thor is an evergreen classic every Marvel fan should have in their library. The Frog of Thunder showcases Simonson’s ability to take an outrageous concept and turn it into one of the most charming and fun Marvel tales ever told. The Marvel Masterworks faithfully restore the original comics’ coloring. Collecting THE MIGHTY THOR (1966) 360-369 and BALDER THE BRAVE (1985) 1-4. 368 PGS./Rated T…$75.00
